Staff Finders are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives to join our established and expanding client in Scunthorpe.

You will be responsible for running the plant and machinery within the Extrusion department, maintaining targeted output with mínimal interuption.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Reclaiming all waste from departments according to the PIMs plan set.
Ensuring expected performance targets are achieved
Understanding set production programs, understanding the importance of running to plan and association between production schefule and product specifications
Planning the day to day operations of the machine, taking necessary action to ensure emergencies do not arise
Carrying out correct start up and shut down procedures
Carrying out basic fault finding and rectification making adjustments to the machine set up to improve performance
Ensuring that all stock is ready and available for further processing
Ensuring that all finished products are packed and stacked on the pallet as per the specification set
Adhere to product specifications, use company quality systems and take corrective action to safe guard product quality
Communicate with relevant team leaders relating to support machinary faults
Complete a timely and comprehensive shift handover
Ensure that all paperwork is completed efficiently and correctly in accordance with ISO 900
Any other duties that may arise to be outlined by the management team

This is a full time, on going position with the view to a contract being offered after 12 weeks.

You will work 12 hour shifts on a rotating rota throughout the week from Monday to Sunday. The hours will be 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am so flexibility is essential.

Salary of £10.66 per hour, paid weekly.
