ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Location - The role will be based in our Glasgow City Centre Office


Hours - Full time, Monday-Friday


Contract Type - Permanent (6 months probationary period)


Salary Range - £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, dependant on experience


Holidays - 37 per annum inc. bank holidays

Due to the continued expansion of the business, we are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support our teams whilst they work on a wide range of renewables and infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities


Day to day you will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Department.

Key tasks in the role of Accounts Assistant will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing supplier invoices and allocating to projects.
  • Processing of supplier payments.
  • Processing credit card transactions and reconciling statements.
  • Assisting with maintaining project client account ledgers.
  • Assisting with project setup and maintenance on our accounting software.
  • Assisting with new client set up and maintenance.

Skills and Experience

The following are essential for successful applicant:

years' experience working in a similar role.

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures and financial controls.
  • Time management and organisation skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Other desirable skills and experience include:

  • Experience of Xero Accounting Software.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices in a professional services environment.
  • A relevant qualification at HNC level or equivalent relevant experience in an accounts/finance assistant role.
