Service Manager. Or After-Sales ManagerService & Support Manager... whatever the title, this really is a role you can sink your teeth into. There are so many opportunities to make your mark and make a difference. You'll know what good looks like, and hopefully,you're looking for an opportunity to put that into practice.


The company is very well known in their industry: I know a lot of job adverts talk about market-leading so I'll avoid that But they make high-spec laboratory equipment and their name is known globally.

However, that doesn't mean they have all their ducksin a row. They know they can do things better but need someone to lead that change.

You'll start with a team of 4, with a budget to double it.

Instead of doing things the way they've always been done, you will be looking in instill a real mindset change, develop the team, and turn it into a profitable after-sales department.

Upselling inthe field, spares sales, repairs, and ongoing service visits.

Reporting to the Operations Director, they will give you free rein to make changes and improvements.

If it doesn't work or it goes wrong, that's ok Mistakes mean you're trying to make changes and improvements - not everything can go right the first time.

The most important thing is that you're solutions focused, with the drive to see things through to the end.

You'll consider yourself an engineer:

you will have been there and done that with the travel, know your way around engineering drawings and already have that hands-on experience with repairs or service work.

The team you inherit will trust that you knowwhat you're talking about and will really welcome the change too.

You'll probably live in or around one of the following: Reading, Wokingham, Guildford, Beaconsfield, Egham, Woking, Basingstoke, Aylesbury
