In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our fleet of HGV lorries, always ensuring their optimal performance.

The salary range varies greatly because we would also consider hiring an individual with limited experience to work alongside our current fitter and receive training in fleet maintenance.

• Carrying out diagnostic repairs.
• Perform regular 12weekly inspections, servicing, and repair works on our fleet of HGV trucks.
• MOT preparations.
• Complying with time recording procedures and ensure that job cards are completed accurately.
• Collaborate with our team to carry out repairs on specialist equipment mounted on the vehicles.
• Organizing vehicle defects as they happen and arranging the necessary parts to fix them.
• Operate in a tidy and safe manner.

• Qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Problem solving skills.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• HGV licence would be an advantage.
