The Role


This static post provides an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and highly valued therapy team within Specialist Medicine, Elderly Care.


The role involves providing specialist therapy for older people and involvement in service development projects to provide continuous improvement within the area.

The role also requires a willingness to develop leadership skills, an excellent opportunityfor a band 5 or 6 looking to further their career.


Person Specification

Knowledge/Skills & Experience

Essential

  • To have a degree or other recognised qualification in occupational therapy
  • Post graduate specialist experience as demonstrated by ongoing CPD, evidencebased project work, post graduate teaching
  • HPC Registered
  • Specialist post graduate experience
  • Understanding of a broad range of Elderly care, Medical, Neurological, musculoskeletal &orthopaedic or surgical conditions
  • Postgraduate training in the management of conditions
  • Experience of teaching and presenting to other staff
  • Experience of supervising and developing other staff and students

Desirable

  • BSc OT
  • Specialist knowledge in related area
  • Member of related Clinical Interest group
  • Research or audit experience
  • Training and Presentation skills

Other

Essential

  • Car driver with UK driving licence, able to drive pool car for access visits
