Job Title:
Full-Time Grounds Person

£11.00 per hour rising to £12.00 per hour from 1st April


Duties:

• Perform various Grounds keeping and landscaping tasks to maintain the appearance and functionality of the property
• Dig holes, trenches, and ditches as needed for planting or irrigation purposes
• Irrigate lawns, gardens, and other landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration
• Maintain and care for gardens, flower beds, trees, and shrubs
• Operate power tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning
• Assist in building and repairing structures such as fences, pathways, and retaining walls
• Utilize hand tools for tasks such as raking, shoveling, and spreading mulch or gravel

Experience:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
• Mechanical knowledge to operate power tools and equipment effectively
• Ability to dig, irrigate, maintain gardens, and perform general landscape maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with power tools commonly used in groundskeeping
• Knowledge of proper plant care techniques including pruning and watering

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
