Description

The Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems is seeking to appoint an accomplished and highly motivated individual to join an active and thriving academic environment contributing to flagship research and teaching programs run by the Department.

We are seeking an energetic and creative individual to join a globally recognised multi-disciplinary team working on a range of projects examining how different types of diet-related public health policies (e.g. structural vs. information-based policy interventions) impact population-level diet, obesity, disease burden and social inequalities in health as well as developing new research lines in the theme of preventing Non-communicable diseases and reducing health inequalities.

The post is an exciting opportunity to develop as a leader willing to work at the interface of epidemiology, advanced quantitative methods and policy decision support with a focus on the impact on community and population health.

The post has an active departmental teaching contribution to our successful Masters programs in Public Health (MPH) and joining colleagues in providing social science and public health instruction for the undergraduate MBChB medical curriculum.

The post will also provide training, supervision and support to MA and PGR students.
