Gallery Ambassador - Casual:

Whitechapel Gallery are offering a number of casual Gallery Ambassador contracts.

This is a vital role that supports the Gallery to deliver a ground-breaking programme of exhibitions, events, performances and workshops.

Responsibilities include invigilating Gallery spaces, engaging with audiences, providing excellent customer service, and supporting a busy events programme.

Conditions of Work

  • Casual zero hour contract
  • Be able to attend the Front of House day once per Season (which are 3 times a year)
  • Be available to cover other GA's Annual Leave when required
  • Be available to work evening shifts when required as per season openings, patrons events etc.
  • Be available to work weekend shifts
  • The period of notice: 4 weeks (1 week within probation)
  • Probation period: 3 weeks
  • Rate of Pay: £12.38 per hour (£11.05 plus £1.33 holiday pay)
  • If no shifts are worked over a 3month period, casual staff will be made leavers
