Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Castleford Academy Trust.
Castleford Academy Trust established as a Trust on 1st April 2013.
The Trust comprises of two secondary academies:
Castleford Academy and Crofton Academy; and three primary academies: Park Junior Academy, Glasshoughton Infant Academy and Three Lane Ends Academy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trust Marketing and Communication Officer to join the Trust team to develop and implement a high quality, flexible, and responsive marketing and communications strategy for the benefit of the Trust, our academies and stakeholders.
Based primarily at the Castleford Academy site, but with travel to other Trust academies, the role will help boost the profile of the Trust regionally and nationally, whilst strengthening our brand identity.
You will:
- Work with the CEO and executive leaders to implement an effective marketing and communications strategy for our Trust.
- Lead on the design and development of marketing materials for the Trust.
- Increase engagement of both existing and potential stakeholders whilst also celebrating achievements of the Trust and our academies, pupils and staff.
- Take responsibility for specific projects or ongoing areas of work in relation to marketing communications, including the planning and delivery of Trust communication campaigns.
- Take a lead role in the development, enabling, and integration of social media as a key communications and engagement tool.
- Develop high quality materials to promote the work of the Trust to a high standard at both local, regional and national level to encourage engagement within and beyond existing networks.
You will be/have:
- At least a Grade C or above at GCSE, or equivalent, in both English and Mathematics.
- Proven experience in design and development of digital media content.
- A record of developing and implementing excellent communications strategies.
- Knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practice.
- Creative ability and flair, with a good eye for design.
- Excellent attention to detail to produce work of the highest quality.
- Able to work flexibly and manage processes of design from an initial brief to copywriting, design and production.
