Associate, Front Office Technology Developer (London)


What is the opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Leverage development expertise, business domain knowledge, and quantitative skill to solve problems and make a difference; build code quickly to meet challenging 'live' desk opportunities and needs
  • Work as a member of a skilled global team to deliver technology solutions used across the Equity and Equity Derivatives trading desks (Flow and Structured Derivatives, DeltaOne, Corporate Equity Derivatives, High-Touch Cash)
  • Interact with keyfront office sales and trading clients and rationalize new and legacy builds to create cohesive and consistent user experiences
  • Transition existing UIs into bestinclass deployment


  • Back-End: C#/python

  • Docker/K8s deployment
  • Front-End: Web Application
  • Leverage all available tools to drive value: the Capital Market's UI Framework (React JS, Javascript, python); vendor and open source technologies, and other RBC components
  • Address all aspects of the development process efficient data sourcing to model integration to effective UI/UX delivery
  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable Python, C# data loading, extracts and transformations
  • Checkin code under source control (github/svn)
  • Create Build and Deployment Script (shell) on Jenkins
  • Scripts to source control Git/Docker/K8s

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience in Web Front-End Development (Javascript)
  • Net Development experience
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience and Knowledge of React JS is a strong plus
  • OOO Development (Java, C#) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Database (SQL, Indexing, clustering, performance)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Equity Derivatives (pricing, greeks, risk management)
  • Experience with Source Control, DevOps
  • Experience with REST
  • Strong quantitative capabilities
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis (time series, linear regression)
  • Comfortable working across different platform and languages; ability to adapt as needed
  • Team mindset; strong ability to collaborate effectively with other groups/teams

Nice-to-have

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work in fastpaced environments delivering quality solutions
