Milk Education is working in partnership with a SEND primary school in the Manchester area who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with children with various needs in their Early Years class.

You will be working across Nursery and Reception classes and supporting children within both year groups.

You will be working closely with the class teacher to support the development of the children on a whole class, 1:1 key group basis with SEND.

Job Responsibilities

To work under the direction of the teacher in small groups and on a onetoone basis
Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment, in accordance with the lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work
Work closely with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals, and targets/appropriate to EYFS
Assist with the planning of learning activities
Monitor pupil's responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, problems etc
Level 2 CACHE or equivalent childcare qualification ie, Childhood Degree
Have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and be familiar with the seven areas of development
