The design and development of our adviser and colleague facing solutions are critical to our mission, and we're seeking an experienced agile product owner to drive this product forwards.


Key Responsibilities as our Product Owner - Power Platform will include:

  • Work with Innovation Director and senior business stakeholders to define the strategic vision for Adviser and Colleague facing technology and tools.
  • Collaborate with the wider business to assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy and organisational objectives.
  • Work closely with business teams to create, manage and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI by ensuring work items are prioritised based on overall strategy and dependencies are mapped and understood.
  • Day to day management of product teams, inspiring and motivating to deliver the vision, continuously assessing product performance and usage, evaluating progress through each iteration, and serving as ambassador for the product sharing knowledge and answering questions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts and customers to understand their needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals, providing transparency and visibility to development activity.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Testing and Design Functions to refine and improve the development process.
  • Work collaboratively with Change Managers to lead the user testing and productrelease plans, setting expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Act as primary liaison between development team and the business, leading scrums to support roadmap delivery through Agile development process, and inspiring and motivating software development teams to understand the value of the product and it's contribution towards business strategy.
  • Develop detailed product feature specifications and user stories, ensuring that they're clearly understood by relevant teams.
  • Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project and product management.

What we are looking for in our ideal Product Owner - Power Platform:

  • Experience as a product owner in ongoing development of live product, working with software development teams.
  • A genuine passion and "cando" mindset for creating well designed, client centric solutions, working as an advocate for the role of both CX and UX in great product design.
  • An indepth working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology.
  • You'll need outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills to represent the vision for the product confidently to the wider business.
  • The solutions we're creating answer specific and sometimes complex needs, so analytical and problemsolving skills are needed, being comfortable working with logic and data.
  • Demand for product features and improvements is high within an extensive programme of change. A proven ability to effectively manage competing needs of stakeholders is therefore essential.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps Boards or similar, Microsoft 365 / Power Platform and/or IRESS Xplan Software would be advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related discipline is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in Financial Advice Services Sector experience.
  • Experience working with remote teams is preferred.
