The Cost Engineer's responsibilities include ensuring all work executed is in line with Corporate and Project specific procedures, providing all budget holders with the relevant information to make forward looking informed decisions and highlight any areas of concern, challenging, maintaining and monitoring of all costs.
- Accurate cost control reporting with respect to budgets, commitments, VOWD and forecasts, as per contractual and Worley requirements.
- Review/ analyse and develop monthly forecasts in conjunction with the responsible Project Engineer
- Review all estimates and changes prior to submission to the Client and ensure that the cost report is updated with the latest budget information
- Change management coordination and control.
- Cost control systems set up and review.
- Maintenance of Project Cost Control database.
- Create, maintain and update the GBS structure within the agreed parameters
- Provide input to project control procedures to ensure compliance with all contractual and Worley requirements.
- Ensure PAAF procedure, PAAF system set up and maintenance are set up correctly and in line with contract and customer requirements
- Subcontract cost management and reporting.
- Project closeout and benchmarking.
- Minimum 5 Years cost control experience.
- Similar experience working on large projects
Knowledge of cost control/reporting techniques & methods, contract terms & conditions related to cost, payments, penalties, insurances, guarantees & similar items and physical progress measurement system.
