Description

Cairellot Learning Centre currently have Modern Apprenticeships available in nurseries across Renfrewshire where you can work and train in a nursery setting to become a qualified childcare practitioner.

The role includes an hourly apprenticeship wage. This role is ideally suited to young people between the ages of 16-19 years.

The role will involve:
- you will have full time position in a busy early learning and childcare and out of school care setting
- you will have a full comprehensive training programme within the setting, learning from experienced and qualified staff how to deliver effective care and learning
- you will be learning how to create inspiring and exciting learning experiences that encourage children to learn at their own pace
- you will be supporting and nurturing young children to ensure their wellbeing, safety and care needs are met
- you will be supporting the team in the effective operation of a busy nursery environment
- you will be developing your knowledge of theory and practice in child development
- you will be understanding the theory and practice around Getting It Right For Every Child
- you will be developing your knowledge of frameworks in relation to early learning and childcare
- you will be developing care and pedagogical skills to support each individual child's care and learning needs
- you will have regular meetings with your allocated SVQ assessor
- you will be completing written work to support your accreditation and competencies in each area of your qualification

Salary:
£6.00 per hour
