Description

We are looking for Day Wardens to join the team in Oxford working 30 hours per week between 11-17, this is a great role with many benefits including 9 weeks holiday per year, call Completely Care for more information.


You will assist in providing a safe and homely environment for boarders in their house and to safeguard their welfare and be aware of and comply with current health and safety, safeguarding and child protection legislation and procedures, and to uphold the school's policy on child protection.

You will partake and ensure the daily registrations are carried out effectively and according to school policy. Any absences immediately tracked down and accounted for.


You will contribute in developing within the students a sense of collective responsibility and sensitivity for the wellbeing of others, encouraging support and help for each other as appropriate.

You will be actively involved in the care and welfare of the boarders in the house and engender a feeling of respect and trust between boarders and staff working in the house.

You will participate in the establishment of a boarding environment which is supportive and provides clear boundaries and expectations of behaviour both individually and to each other.

Establish relationships based on trust and respect, being aware of the individual and their circumstances, needs, strengths and weaknesses of each student.


You will support the provision of weekly informal activities are available for those boarders who wish to participate in their down time when landing on your 'on duty' time.

You will be participative as part of the boarding team in ensuring the care and cleanliness of students and their living spaces, coordinating, and liaising with other staff where appropriate.

You will ensure the appropriate student records are kept up to date. To ensure these records and the medicines themselves are always kept safe and secure.
