Empowering Learning is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start in November on a full time and long term temporary basis in Salford paying up to £85 a day.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is for a caring and nurturing person who is passionate about helping those with SEN.

It is based at an Ofsted Outstanding Special Needs Primary School in Salford.

The school caters for up to 150 young people aged 3-11 withSEN including Autism, Sensory Needs, Speech & Language Needs and Physical Disabilities.

They have state of the art facilities designed with their individual pupils' needs in mind which includes a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, forest school space and interactiveareas.

Staff love working there, parents are extremely complimentary and it is generally a fantastic place to work

The children have a wide range of Special Educational Needs and as such most require their SEN Teaching Assistant to be experienced in supporting those with Autism as a minimum.

Pupils all have EHCPs and IEPs which need to be followed and updated over timein conjunction with other school staff and outside agencies.

While the role has a large care element you will also need to provide learning support and follow the teachers instruction.

You will need to work in conjunction with the teacher to use strategiesto support each individual with their academic progress.

Progress is measured in smaller steps than in mainstream but these smaller steps can be mountainsfor some of their young people and the school is seeing progress in each pupil and wants them to reach their full potential.

This is an amazing opportunity that doesn't come around often to work in an incredible school with exceptional colleagues around you to support you and help you learn.
