Sub Agent
Duration: 12 month + contract
Located in Chelmsford, Essex
**RESPONSIBILTIES: - Check drawings and quantities
- Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department
- Day to day management of a section of works including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and supply chain
- Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for section of work assigned
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly carried out
- Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines
- Liaise with any consultants and subcontracts engaged in the project as necessary
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
- Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
- Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used
- Liaise with other function/departmental managers
- Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships
- Report to the Project Manager on progress and performance
- Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility
- Demonstrable experience on design and build projects
- Liaising at an appropriate level with clients, stakeholders and other technical disciplines to deliver innovative, valueformoney designs and solutions within time and cost constraints
- Proven track record with five plus years' experience and worked within similar position
- Previously managed site teams & packages of work
- Ensure compliance with designs
- Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
- Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
- Previously worked main contractor experience
- Have a CSCS qualification specific to the works will be undertaking
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Good teamworking skills, particularly in relation to the delivery of multidisciplinary projects
- Good communication skills at all levels
