    Job Summary:

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of novel assays to investigate CAR Tcell function
  • Assist in in vivo models to understand CAR T cell function and efficacy
  • Interact with and support the work of senior research scientists within the Research group
  • Using equipment, running QC tests and maintaining in functional condition
  • Generate key proof of concept data to support project progress and advancement
  • Work seamlessly with other scientific groups in the company
  • Author experiment writeups, reports and regulatory documentation
  • Present at journal clubs and departmental lab meetings
  • Assist in technology transfer of assays to the Clinical Assays and Process Development (Cell Manufacturing) groups
  • Any other duties as required following consultation with the postholder

Demonstrated skills and competencies

  • MSc educated in Biology/Immunology or related discipline
  • Familiarity with a range of immunological cellbased techniques
  • Experience of mammalian cell culture
  • A good understanding of cell biology and immunology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, motivated with a positive attitude to problemsolving
  • Capable of working independently, as well as being a team player
  • Able to prioritize tasks and ensure all assigned tasks are performed in a timely manner, accurately and efficiently
  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment is desirable, although full training will be given
