An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Acute Medicine Unit Admin Team.


The post holder will work as a Ward Clerk covering our Acute Medicine Unit side and also work in a clinic based admin role in our AEC (Ambulatory Emergency Care) area.

Main duties of the job

To accept all patients onto the wards / clinics electronically through our system

To answer phone calls internally and externally at all levels in a professional and courteous manner

Ensuring patients who are discharged home have appropriate follow up booked if necessary and ensuring discharge letters are sent out

General admin duties

Making clinic appointments for patients to return for results.
