Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful engineering company within the aerospace sector. This is a permanent and full-time position.


Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation, control and maintenance of the company quality management systems to international and customer standards, ensuring system audit readiness at all times, reducing cost of quality and minimising process variation


Role Specific Duties

  • Oversee company compliance to recognised quality approval systems
  • Documentation control in relation to quality procedures and records
  • Ensure effective quality control for all aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Organise and expedite internal quality audits in conjunction with trained personal
  • Interface with customers on quality requirements
  • Participate in Customer, NADCAP and AS9100 audits.
  • Maintain Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Material Review Board (MRB) process ensuring data is used to improve internal and external quality
  • Present toolbox talks and other process improvement activities to colleagues to maintain or improve quality standards.
  • Support the use of quality data to improve business performance (productivity, customer satisfaction etc )
  • Responsible for the calibration of metrology equipment
  • Provide an interim and final inspection role
  • Provide reports detailing the cost of quality and preventive solutions using nonconformance reporting as basis for this
  • Provide reports and information to support QMS development, audit readiness and quality improvements to ensure compliance with international and customer standards

Statutory Duties

  • Work in a safe manner in compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures alongside statutory requirements. Reporting any unsafe working practises / activities is essential.
  • Work in a manner that will maintain compliance to compliance to the Environmental policies and procedures alongside statutory requirements. Reporting any potential environmental issues is essential.

Business Duties

  • Continually review working practices to remove and reduce waste and nonvalue adding activities. Actively support and contribute to the continuous improvement programme.
  • Work with a minimum amount of supervision, supporting and maintaining good level of productivity in business.
  • Positively support teamwork and circulation of experience within the workforce (through mentoring, knowledge sharing and development of standard operating procedures).
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the work place and maintaining shadow boards / equipment provided.
