What is the Role?


As well as support with the academic side you will spend the balance of your time on a variety of placements with specific contract and commercial aspects of the life of a project from inception to closure and final accounting.

The placements will include a variety of projects Overhead line, Primary Substation Refurbishments, Cabling, Tree Cutting, Rising Mains, Jointing, Automation, and any other frameworks required by the business.

The day-to-day role will provide variety you will have a wide span of responsibilities, supporting the Distribution Procurement and Commercial Team on all elements of procurement, commercial and risk including:

  • Tendering of projects, from initiation and review of tender packs, through to evaluation of returns and providing commercial input on appointing the right contractor.
  • Commercial reporting, and communication to various stakeholders.
  • Conduct site safety audits.

What do I need to join?
You will have gained or be predicted to achieve a 2:2 Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying.
