Description
To coordinate events and communication of Walsall for All partnership and website and provide communication support to relevant teams (e.g. Walsall Council and wider partners).- To contribute to the Walsall for All partnership activity, strategy and vision
- To contribute to projects and targets as set out by the Walsall for All partnership and participate in any initiatives that promote social integration and cohesion.
- To develop Walsall for All online and face to face events & website communication, including engagement with people who may experience language barriers.
- To support any projects aimed at reducing disadvantage faced by different communities, communication barriers or disability.
- To work in partnership with other voluntary, community and public sector organisation.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
The post holder will be required to undertake a DBS check.
The post-holder will be, on occasions, required to attend weekend and evening meetings and have an understanding of the needs of participants who require interpretation, translation, transcription or any other methods of communication.
The post-holder has to be willing to develop regular social media presence and content and take part in events, videos and other promotions linked to Walsall for All partnership.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
The apprentice will assist in day to day promotional activity of the Walsall for All partnership including website and social media management.
Through website, social media and other platforms, raise the awareness of the Diversity Calendar taking into account needs, barriers and cultures of different Walsall communities.
Supporting the Council to overcome gaps in engagement and consultations with people with protected characteristics under the Equality Act and in the implementation of the Walsall for All strategy.
Signpost residents and participants to relevant social media promotions and website content.
Contribute to the administration of events planning, training and development of related filing systems and databases.
To support the website provider and other team members and contribute to gathering intelligence around social integration, cohesion, equality and diversity.
Carry out any other ad hoc duties relating to Walsall for All partnership and related teams.

Salary:
£15,600.00-£18,000.00 per year
