Lead Computational Biologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Computational Biologist to shape our newly established and rapidly scaling Plant Biology Institute.

About the Role

• To lead and manage the bioinformatics function, delivering robust analytical capabilities to support data interpretation.


• To develop and implement bioinformatics strategies and workflows that drive experimental programmes forward.


• To work closely with researchers to develop computational pipelines for analysing large datasets.


• To recruit, lead, and mentor a team of bioinformaticians, building capacity in biological data analysis.

About You

You will have an advanced degree in informatics or computer science, with strong experience working in research or scientific environments. You must be able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Experience working within laboratory settings is essential as well as track record of leading people development programmes.
