Secondary Teaching Assistant


The successful Teaching Assistant will join a skilful and resourceful staffing team where the pupils of the school are at the heart of everything the school strive for.

The role in the classroom will focus on lessons that engage, excite, and deliver progress to all of pupils. The school follow a curriculum that is innovative, exciting, and aimed on pupil engagement. The schools' expectations are high, and achievement isat the forefront of its ethos.


The main purpose of the role, under the general supervision and direction of the teacher, is to plan and implement learning activities for individuals and groups.

To monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and establish supportiveand constructive relationships with pupils' parents and carers.


Required Skills:


  • Proactive member of staff able to think on their feet
  • Experience working with children
  • Work well in a team
  • Behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience in youth work, sports coaching, or intervention work
  • Level 3 driver

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
