Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Lead Outdoor Early Years Practitioner at Tall Trees Children's Nursery located in Broxburn.

As the Lead Outdoor Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading the Nursery's approach to outdoor learning and play, in line with ELC (Early Learning and Childcare) guidance and regulations.

You will be working as part of a caring team and responsible for supervising and supporting staff, creating engaging outdoor play experiences, and continually promoting safety, health, and wellbeing of children.

Qualifications

SVQ level 3/HNC or equivalent in Early Years Education and Childcare
Knowledge and experience in planning and leading outdoor learning activities for young children
Ability to supervise and support others, including staff, volunteers, and students
Knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence, ELC guidance, and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including understanding of child protection policies and procedures
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Skills in organizing, managing, and evaluating play environment.
