The Role

Bale Plant Operator - Isover - Runcorn
Rotational Day / Night shift patterns : 6.30am - 6.30pm _4 on 4 off_
- (please note these will roll over the weekend & bank holidays.)_

You'll be working with our Isover brand - a manufacturer of high performance, environmentally sustainable glass mineral wool insulation for thermal, acoustic and fire safe solutions.

The purpose of the role is to is to assist in driving the Company to the forefront of safely producing quality products whilst providing the best customer service at the lowest delivered cost with no impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Cold End Manager, the role of the baler plant operator is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the baler plant in order to manufacture finished bales and provide support to the mainline for production of faced materials whererequired.

Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times
Operation of the entire baling operation including bale manufacture, quality check, material collection and material storage.
Accurate and timely quality checks
Under the supervision of the Cold End manager assist with any relevant projects to fulfil department goals and objectives in the areas of cost reduction, productivity gains, process flow, capacity increases, scrap reduction and process and product enhancements.
Undertake any other duties as may be required by your Line Manager or the Executive team, consistent with the scope of the job.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

FLT license
Working within a manufacturing environment is desirable
Standard operating procedures for all tasks undertaken
Line Problem Solving
Must be a team player with good communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Must be able to demonstrate experience of working alone and sometimes unsupervised
