The job includes assisting Family Support Workers to effectively deliver an Early Years programme in line with Flying Start's Health; Parenting and Speech, Language and Communication Guidance set by Welsh Government.

This will include assisting with the delivery of universal groups for family resilience such as parent and toddler groups, baby massage, sensory and or development groups.

We have 8 Flying Start Hubs across Blaenau Gwent. The Early Years Assistants would support the running of the Flying Start hub(s) to which they are assigned to.

This will include supporting the operational delivery of services and hub delivery model which helps tackle child poverty by pulling in services which support families with healthy lifestyles, digital access, welfare advice, food poverty, fuel poverty, housing support, debt / money management, improving skills and education, employment support etc.
