My Kensington based client is seeking an experienced Pest Control Officer to join their busy team on a temp to perm basis.


Duties include:


  • Carrying out detailed inspections to identify the likely source of infestation
  • Devising control/ eradication treatments for a wide range of pests in accordance with industry standards, ensuring all precautions are taken to prevent contamination of food and water and access to the poison by nontarget species.
  • Reinspecting infected all infected premises, replenishing consumed baits or changing baits until the infestation is cleared as well as recovering all baits, poisons and traps once the programme is complete or if a risk to health and safety
  • Maintaining record of every job carried out including dates of visits
  • Inspecting drainage systems, refuse storage vaults, vacant land for the presence of rats and bait
  • Collecting and disposing clinical waste from users of the organisations service

Required Experience and Qualifications:


  • RSPH/BPCA (level 2) Award in Pest Management (or Equivalent)
  • Excellent knowledge of rodent and insect pests, including their biology and methods of control
  • Recent experience of delivering pest control treatments and offering proofing advice
  • Experience of bird proofing
  • Good understanding about risk assessments and COSHH assessments
