    We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Study Skills to join our team at QA Higher Education, Manchester City Centre Campus.

    This is a 3-day per week position, working Wednesday–Thursday. The contract is for one year, initially.

    The successful candidate will have teaching experience in English or Business or Finance subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

    You will assist our Higher Education students with Personal and Academic Study Skills, focusing on those who may require additional support due to their overseas background or time away from academia.

    You will work within the Academic Community of Excellence (ACE) team, supporting learners with academic skills development alongside their classes.

    Your role will involve delivering effective teaching, learning, and support to enable learners to gain the necessary skills for success and excellence in their studies.

    • Track, monitor, and review students' academic progress, achievement, development, and wellbeing.
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging group, one-to-one, and drop-in sessions (face-to-face and online) to develop students' learning, academic, and digital skills, and wellbeing.
    • Keep accurate tutorial records to monitor learner progress and achievement.
    • Develop learning support and skills materials and resources (for face-to-face and online) and maintain them on Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs).
    • Organise and promote Academic Community of Excellence (ACE) at QA events.

    About You

    • Post Graduate Qualification (Master's/DELTA or equivalent)
    • Experience in delivering one-to-one academic tutorials and academic workshops
    • Relevant teaching qualification (HEA) or demonstrate teaching experience with a commitment to achieving the required Professional Standards for teaching
    • Ability to use a range of learning and teaching approaches
