Join us as an Equity Investment Manager

We'll look to you to manage the balance sheet and support the directors of our holding company for strategic equity investments, to effectively manage risk and improve commercial returns
Working closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, you'll develop a macro portfolio strategy as input to our strategic planning and budgeting process and to support mergers and acquisitions transactions
This is an opportunity for you to join a collaborative team, where you'll be liaising with a range of stakeholders to broaden your network and raise your profile in the bank

What you'll do
As an Equity Investment Manager, you'll be providing robust portfolio oversight as well as oversight for individual investments. You'll also be supporting new investments or exits and performing periodic reviews of investments.

In addition, you'll be:

Owning the capital and portfolio plan, focusing on opportunities that offer superior risk management to drive sustainable returns
Working closely with colleagues to assess the impact of external and internal changes on the business portfolio
Working closely with others to create and develop suitable updates for the relevant committees and forums on the status and next steps on key transactions
Supporting the ongoing management and development of innovation tools to direct and drive risk mitigation activity
Liaising with other business areas on relevant policies and processes relating to capital and balance sheet management
Maintaining key data and information sets to support the efficient management of the business balance sheet

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with experience in investment or commercial banking and stakeholder management, coupled with knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management.

You'll also need:

An analytical and structured approach to delivery
Experience of coordinating multiple stakeholders and providing tailored information to decision makers
Experience of capital management and portfolio tools and techniques
A proven track record of delivering analytical and problemsolving solutions
A creative approach to design new approaches and solve problems
