Thrive is a safe space that exists to inspire and support care experienced support young in securing meaningful employment so that they can live happy, safe, and fulfilling lives.


Working with young people, the adults who care for them and Liverpool City Region employers we will connect young people to opportunities that will help them plan a pathway to their future careers and importantly, careers that matter most to them.

We will focus our programmes on young people who may face significant barriers to employment, particularly:

  • Care-experienced young people
  • Young people with experience of the criminal justice system
  • Socially excluded young people
yr olds claiming Universal Credits

The Job

  • Salary: £32,000

Service/ Delivery Lead Location:
Liverpool City Centre


  • Duration: 20 month contract

We are looking for an individual who can offer 1:2:1 support and group delivery to young people as well as provide leadership to team members.

This role is operational and will have direct relationships with young people therefore the requirement is to be on site day-to-day.

Roles Duties:


Approximately 50% of your time will be spent:

  • Case-loading 18-24yr old young people in receipt of Universal Credit providing weekly support with aim of: o Building relationships with Thrive young people o Building relationships with social/support workers o Identifying careers that matter most to young people o Identify barriers to employment faced by young people o Work with young people to remove barriers to employment, o Provide tailored job search support o Develop a personalised employment plan containing actions/milestones to help young people progress to their chosen careers
  • Maintain records required to track the progress of the young people
  • Complete all necessary administration duties required for the monitoring and evaluation of the project
  • Deliver employability sessions to groups of young people attending Thrive
  • Facilitate focus groups with young people and social/support workers

Roles Duties (continued):

Approximately 50% of your time will be spent:

  • Working with the Thrive team to develop recording and monitoring systems to evidence outcomes required by funding partners
  • Work with Thrive team members to collate case studies and feedback from Thrive young people to feed into funding and social impact report
  • Work with Thrive team to ensure policies and procedures are adhered throughout the working day
  • Work with partnerships manager to codesign Thrive timetable of activities and identify new potential partners who can add value to our work
  • Support/mentor team members
  • Complete internal and external statistical returns
  • Conduct monthly review and evaluation of the project against targets and strategy
  • Complete HR paperwork including team annual leave/absence records
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post and project objectives
