Accountancy Practice specialists Perrott Partners Recruitment have been instructed on an Outsourcing Assistant Manager or Manager opportunity on behalf of a flexible and progressive firm 6-partner firm of chartered accountants, based opposite Waterloo trainstation

This opportunity would suit an ACCA or ACA qualified or Finalist with strong management accounts, month-end management reporting experience and particularly strong VAT multi scheme exposure gained in practice looking for an excellent work/ life balance andcontinued career progression.

The successful individual will be allocated a diverse portfolio of clients including from the media /IT industry, involving the preparation and review of monthly/ quarterly management accounts with commentary, budgeting & forecasting, streamlining clients'business processes, supervising payroll and ensuring all deadlines are met within their own portfolio as well as overseeing the team.

Direct supervision would therefore be involved as well as a reviewing process.

Responsibilities:

Managing a varied portfolio of clients
Preparation and review of management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
Preparation of monthly management reporting packs
Providing commentary and analysis
Budgeting and forecasting
Client payroll review
Ensuring all client reporting and payment deadlines are met
Review of VAT returns (Strong multi scheme exposure required)
Preparation of monthly journals, prepayments, accruals, and depreciation
Preparation of monthly financial reporting packs for review
Identify areas to improve existing systems & processes
Training junior staff and reviewing their work.
Client meetings

Requirements:

You are ACCA or ACA Qualified (or late part-qualified with supervisory exposure) with at least 4 years practice background to supervisory level
Management accounts background
Strong multi scheme VAT exposure required
Good working knowledge of accountancy software such as Sage, Xero, CCH Central, Payroll Professional etc.
Good communication skills
