Location:
Baldock, Hertfordshire

Salary:
£25k per annum

They are currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team.

The successful Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for purchasing all stock & outsourced products, managing costs and cash flow, managing the supply chain, managing supplier relationships and terms and ensuring accurate production data.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Purchasing assistant to join an exciting business who can match their passion and ambition.

Responsibilities include:

Minimise cost production and other key costs of the company without reducing quality.
Develop and implement company purchasing strategy.
Own supplier relationship management, including sourcing new suppliers
Manage purchasing function including forecasting and monitor / reduce procurement costs
Work closely with Production and Goods In departments to identify requirements and recommendations
Manage operations system data
Have a track record working in purchasing, ideally with previous manufacturing experience.
Good understanding of using Sage
Have excellent category knowledge
Have a handson approach with strong negotiation and admin skills.
Good communication and organisation skills.
