What you'll be doing


As a Training Coordinator for our new prison-based mental wellbeing service, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of training programs for people in prison, mental health coaches and wider in-prison workforce development.


You will support staff and volunteers to provide person-centered care through asset-based approaches, building on the strengths of people and their communities, to improve health and wellbeing.

What we need from you

  • You will develop a range of interactive and engaging training to people in prison and prison staff, based on the needs of the prison and the people in it.
  • You will create workforce training that is personcentred, traumainformed and uses strengthbased approaches.
  • You will continually review and improve training in response to learner feedback.
  • You will ensure compliance of course materials with current legislation, companywide curriculum, quality standards and processes.
  • You will keep up to date with key sector reports, evidence, developments and innovation within health and wellbeing, community development and assetbased approaches, with reference to training and development.
  • You will build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
What we will offer you in return

  • An annual salary of £29,439 (NJC SCP 22)
  • A permanent, fulltime contract
  • You'll work across our four prison sites: Forrest Bank, Styal, Risley and Thorncross
  • 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years
