Support Coordinator

Overview


You will be supporting the Service Manager and Team Leaders in the daily operations and managing of the service and employees.


You will assist in managing the homes in which will include visiting the homes, overseeing staff, liaising with professionals and ensuring the homes are running smoothly day-to-day.

This is a rewarding role where you can really make a difference to vulnerable young people.

You will visit the homes regularly which will enable you to build relationships with both the support workers and the young people they are caring for.


Support


You will report to the Service Manager and Team Leaders who will support you with all aspects of managing your homes, they are very passionate about getting the best possible outcomes for our young people and they care equally about the staff.

Your wider support network includes the Head of Service and Company Directors who will also be available for ongoing support.

Continuous professional development is encouraged within the company and mandatory and optional training will be offered both online and face-to-face.

  • You will have sufficient knowledge of MS Excel & Word
  • You will ideally have senior support worker experience of 1 year, 2 years working in a support worker role with children and young people or experience in a role where skills are transferable
  • You will have previous experience writing reports and strong attention to detail
  • You will be committed to building strong relationships with external professionals such as social workers, YOT workers
  • You will take pride in your ability to empower your team of support workers

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage Rotas, cover breaks and cover when necessary
  • Lead and inspire both staff and young people
  • Conduct team meetings and promote team engagement through supervisions
  • Auditing and inspecting YP files at relevant placements
  • Take a leading role in receiving a young persons into placement and guiding them through the House Rules and Expectations
  • Participating in the oncall rota
  • Ensuring all policies, procedures and protocols are upheld and followed by your team in line with placing Local Authorities and the Northwest Minimum Standards
  • Professionally representing the organisation and safeguarding the ethos and images of the company, among members of staff, all of the young people in our care, young person's PAs, Social Workers and Commissioners.

Certification

  • Driving License essential
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferred)

Schedule:


  • 37.5 hours to be worked flexibly across the week to suit the needs of the service some planned weekend work occasionally needed.

Work Location:
Working from different homes across your agreed area and Head Office


Salary:
£12.00 per hour
