The Role

Our fantastic client based near Aberdeen is a successful, growing, and ambitious organisation providing Oil & Gas, Renewables and Construction services to clients nationally.

They are a forward thinking company with innovative plans to develop in the future.

To help our client maintain and develop current and future customer needs they are now looking to recruit

temporary skilled

Pipefitters, Welders, Platers and

Fabricators for a period of 3 months possibly longer in their various engineering departments on their

Day Shifts and/or

Night Shifts.

The role will involve working within the engineering construction industry and consist of positioning, assembly, fabrication, testing, maintenance, repair and dismantling of piping systems.

The piping system design will also determine the method of jointing required and the pipefitter must ensure the integrity of joints that are made.

The Person

• Have the required competencies to fabricate, position, assemble, test, maintain and dismantle pipework systems to the required standard while adhering to health, safety and environmental regulations and safe working practices and taking into account environmental and sustainability considerations
• Understand the preparation and reinstatement requirements in respect of the work area, materials and equipment, and the possible consequences of incorrect actions in these areas
• Be able to read and interpret relevant engineering drawings, related specifications, quality standards and equipment manuals, and to follow work instructions and relevant plans and schedules
• Understand which tools and equipment to use, and when, and will follow relevant training, methods and techniques and quality control and safety procedures for their use

Qualifications

• ECITB Pipefitting or other relevant apprenticeship, or
• Relevant vocational qualification (VQ)
• Valid Connected Competence knowledgeonly test or superseded by valid technical tests
