Job Summary
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
- Assist in reviewing and developing the Health and Safety policies, and ensure that it is implemented consistently across the business.
- Provide risk assessment support to comply with legislation and ensure all potential risks are identified and control measures are implemented and monitored.
- Conduct regular factory inspections and site visits (your travel expenses will be covered for these).
- Record and assist in investigating accidents and nonconformances.
- Create and implement Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Assist in managing all compliance requirements, ensuring they are being controlled, documented and maintained in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the health and safety auditing process.
- Monitor health and safety related training.
- Ensure that all necessary fire procedures are in place, and all staff are aware of the fire and evacuation procedures.
- Ensuring that all fire prevention equipment is maintained, tested and located appropriately.
- Collection of monthly KPI data for end of month reporting.
- Keep up to date with HSE legislation and assist in making sure the company is being compliant.
- Ensure all testing, such as PAT testing is carried out on time and all records are maintained accurately.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of the ISO 45001 standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Full UK drivers licence.
Beneficial, but not essential:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
- Experience within the manufacturing and/or construction industries.
- NEBOSHH or other similar health and safety qualification.
Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
