Job Summary

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • Assist in reviewing and developing the Health and Safety policies, and ensure that it is implemented consistently across the business.
  • Provide risk assessment support to comply with legislation and ensure all potential risks are identified and control measures are implemented and monitored.
  • Conduct regular factory inspections and site visits (your travel expenses will be covered for these).
  • Record and assist in investigating accidents and nonconformances.
  • Create and implement Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Assist in managing all compliance requirements, ensuring they are being controlled, documented and maintained in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in the health and safety auditing process.
  • Monitor health and safety related training.
  • Ensure that all necessary fire procedures are in place, and all staff are aware of the fire and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensuring that all fire prevention equipment is maintained, tested and located appropriately.
  • Collection of monthly KPI data for end of month reporting.
  • Keep up to date with HSE legislation and assist in making sure the company is being compliant.
  • Ensure all testing, such as PAT testing is carried out on time and all records are maintained accurately.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 45001 standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Full UK drivers licence.

Beneficial, but not essential:


  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
  • Experience within the manufacturing and/or construction industries.
  • NEBOSHH or other similar health and safety qualification.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
