    Description

    Job Title: Team Lead for Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service

    Bromley Y seeks a qualified and experienced practitioner to contribute to the development of its early intervention and prevention service for children and young people in Bromley.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Oversight of referrals front door, waiting list, and allocations management for the Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service (MHEWS).
    2. Supporting practitioner standards through tracking and developing training based on need.
    3. Coodination of case auditing in MHEWS to ensure adherence to professional standards.

    Purpose of the Role:

    To reduce waiting times for young people, ensure the MHEWS workforce responds to changes in demand and need, and delivers effective interventions.

    Key Objectives:

    1. Develop the process of managing referrals into the service to reduce wait times.
    2. Contribute to service development to improve outcomes for children and young people.

    Practice Responsibilities:

    1. Develop partnerships with schools, organizations, and charities to ensure access to services for diverse backgrounds.
    2. Deliver community-based therapeutic interventions with a caseload of children and families.
    3. Plan interventions for children and young people's emotional and mental health issues.
    4. Carry out joint and/or individual assessments of children and families.

    Education and Training:

    1. Maintain accreditation with BACP or UKCP or equivalent.
    2. Attend CYP IAPT approved supervision training.
    3. Identify training needs across supervisees and develop routes for CPD.

    Research and Development:

    1. Work with others to develop practice protocols and audit tools.
    2. Implement national audit tools and review with colleagues nationally and locally.

    People Management:

    1. Provide mentoring, guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
    2. Manage minor issues of poor conduct and performance.
    3. Lead line management meetings and carry out PDRs.

    1. Qualified and experienced practitioner with management experience.
    2. Commitment to principles of CYP IAPT and THRIVE.
    3. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.

    Working Arrangements:

    The post involves some digital work from home, with opportunities to see children and young people at Ethelbert Road. The majority of work will be in the community, supporting Bromley children in gaining access to appropriate activities, resources, and interventions.
