Description
We are seeking an Assistant Herdsperson for our family dairy farm, milking on a rotary parlour. No accommodation provided.

Duties

  • Milking as part of team (training provided) on a 50 point rotary parlour with ACR and ADF
  • General yard work, foot trimming, calve rearing, calving, breeding and feeding live stock using modern machinery
  • Assisting the herd manger with general animal husbandry
  • Ensuring machinery is kept in a clean and serviceable condition

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Experience handling cattle preferable
  • Full UK Driving licence
In return we can offer a competitive salary, with overtime and some weekend working. On and off farm training, regular time off and flexible daily working hours. There is no accommodation provided with this role.
