This role will provide you with the opportunity to join the collaborative and supportive teaching team on the BA Psychology for Education programme and to teach a group of committed students.


Your main task will be to contribute to the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 Psychology and Education: Integrating Theory and Practice module.

The role will focus on the reflective practice element of the syllabus and will include an exploration of philosophies of education.


There are 5 in person classes running fortnightly between 6 and 8 pm, starting on Thursday 19th October until 14th December.

Coursework for this module will be submitted in January 202- We are looking for a committed professional with:

  • A degree in Psychology.
  • Relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector.
  • A good understanding of the needs of parttime adult learners and be able to relate well to their individual needs and engage their interest and enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrably effective and engaging communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate.
  • Willing to engage in reflective practice.

Also desirable are the following:

  • Postgraduate degree/s in a relevant area such as educational psychology or education.
  • Professional experience in Educational Psychology and/or working with young people in the education sector.
  • A teaching qualification.

Remuneration


This is a 2 hour per week role and Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £66.70 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked.

This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a 'Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course
