Adult Social Care Improvement, Transformation and Assurance Lead:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Adult Social Care in Tower Hamlets as the manager for Improvement, Transformation and Assurance.


As part of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Director for Adult Social Care, this post will be the lead for the ASC Transformation and Improvement Programme and the ASC Assurance project.


This post is a key part of the service which will strive for improvements in services, promoting better outcomes for local residents.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of ASC
  • Expert in project and programme management approaches.
  • Knowledge of quality and performance tools and techniques.
  • Demonstratable experience of initiating an leading complex projects and programmes.
  • Proven ability to bring creative solutions to challenges.

Tower Hamlets is at the heart of the East End of London and is home to some incredible landmarks including the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

The borough presents a vibrant mix of old and new, a bustling community unique in culture and character. The instantly recognisable 'U' bend in the River Thames describes the southern boundary of this diverse and dynamic community


Tower Hamlets is well connected with its tube, bus and train links across the borough to the City and the West End.

It is also served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) - the only fully accessible railway in the UK - and is home to City Airport.

If you live, work or study in Tower Hamlets, you are eligible for our free one-to-one adult cycle skills sessions, run by Bikeworks on behalf of the council.

The sessions cover all levels from complete beginner up to commuter cycling. Family sessions in Victoria Park are also available.
