We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice AAT Accounts Assistant.

In this role, you will work closely with our finance department to support various accounting tasks and gain valuable hands-on experience in financial management.

This is an ideal role for school leavers looking to get their first job in accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

• Use Xero for day to day bookkeeping.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Understand and be able to produce manual journals to ensure accounts are correct.
• Communicate on regular basis with clients (telephone and in person).
• Producing and submitting VAT returns.
• Produce basic selfassessments.
• Support the preparation of monthly and weekly payroll.
• Collaborate with team members on adhoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer skills.
• A keen interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting.
• Minimum educational requirement: GCSEs Grade 5 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
