Description

Nursing Associate (Job purpose): Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence Exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. To contribute to all nursing care, providing care for people including those with complex needs. To abide by the Trust policies and procedures Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the supervision of a registered nurse or other registered care professionals dependent on setting Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individuals defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.

Assistant Practitioner (Job purpose):

To abide by Trust policies and procedures To lead and co-ordinate a range of clinical and non-clinical tasks and responsibilities undertaken by Health Care Assistants To be responsible for ensuring patient safety is assured while on duty.


To support the registered nurses and work under their direction or other registered health care practitioners in providing high quality nursing care etc.

Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives. Continue to develop and maintain competencies in direct patient care to maintain high quality and safe standards.
