Description
A Property company based in London's West End are looking to hire an experienced Payroll Manager.

(2 days a week) The Payroll Manager will be accountable for processing the monthly payroll of 80 staff in compliance with local tax and legal requirements.

This is a stand-alone position working alongside the HR team


Key Duties include:

  • Managing all aspects of the monthly payroll process for UK employees, validating all changes and ensuring employees earnings and deductions are accurate and in compliance with legal requirements and company guidelines
  • Maintaining contact with the external payroll provider for the UK, submitting the data for the monthly payroll process, reviewing the preliminary reports and approving the final version of the payslips
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations / statutory reporting and returns including P60s, P11ds and PAYE settlement agreement
  • Managing payroll reconciliations and journal posting
  • Working alongside the Finance team for the reporting and scheduling of payments
  • Liaising directly with benefits providers, including health insurance, pension providers and others, as required
  • Supporting any payroll audits
  • Providing analysis and reporting of payroll data
  • Manage any payroll queries and/or follow up any discrepancies
You will need to have prior Payroll Manager / Advisor experience within a similar capacity

  • A CIPP accreditation and/or a equivalent qualification
  • Experience of manually calculating payroll elements
  • Deep professional knowledge of payroll, with uptodate knowledge of UK legislation
  • Microsoft Office skills: Excel essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
