Assistant Management Accountant - Top 10 Firm | Hybrid Working | Fantastic Culture

A fantastic opportunity to join a Top 10 firm within their outsourcing team - one of the fastest growing service lines within the UK firm, generating annuity clients for the outsourcing practice which are pivotal to the development of wider relationships acrossthe firm.


The outsourcing team delivers a wide spectrum of services - from bookkeeping and management reporting for both the UK and international clients, to the preparation of statutory accounts and indirect tax returns for multi-jurisdictional clients.


About the role
To support the Management Accountant in preparing and maintaining client accounts. Undertaking this role is a perfect foundation to progress to our Management Accountant role.


The Reading Outsourcing team are focused on supporting new and exciting international companies expand their operations into the UK and Europe.

Their clients are typically fast growing technology, retail or life science businesses, who look to them to takeon their UK/European finance function.

They provide comprehensive Outsourcing services to clients ranging from family owned, through to large listed companies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a portfolio of clients, alongside the Management Accountant.
  • Processing of clients accounting records including banks, purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger.
  • Leading daytoday client relationships for purchase ledger items.
  • Arranging bank payments and transfers on behalf of clients according to agreed deadlines.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations.
  • Liaising with third parties on behalf of clients e.g. suppliers, insurance companies, banks.
  • Assisting with quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds.
  • Participating in team meetings, to enhance efficiencies and encourage collaboration.

Requirements:


  • Good standard of education with GSCE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Some knowledge of accounting principles and systems is not essential but useful.
