Job Description:


Job purpose:

Working within the EMEA Distributor Team this position will coordinate and on-board distributors within some regions in EMEA.

The role will work with Abcam's distributors and support their development according to the strategy set by the Distributor Sales Director.


You will need to be comfortable in a multicultural environment where change is a constant; at Abcam we are always striving to improve everything we do.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver revenue, profitability and market share growth objectives in your territory
  • Assist the EMEA Distributor Manager with identifying and developing the right channels in the regions to achieve and exceed commercial growth targets
  • Work with regional marketing to tailor the marketing plan to each distributor country growth targets.
  • Have regular calls with our channel partners to go through their sales plans for the months, quarter, and year
  • Lead generation, processing, followup with channel partners
  • Monitor Key competitors' activities within the regions and actively react to protect and gain the market share
  • Handling distributor contracts and authorization letters for channel partners
  • Facilitate the quarterly and annual distributor review and work with the EMEA Channel Manager to come up with a business plan for the following year.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team to organise roadshows or exhibitions in key countries to support product promotion and demonstrate our technical capabilities to customers throughout the region.
  • Working closely with Finance and Customer Service team to monitor distributors' financial situation and order processing
  • Working closely with Logistics and Supply Chain team to monitor distributors' order processing and shipments

Qualifications:


  • MSc or PhD in life science biology (Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, Epigenetics,...)
  • Previous Sales experience in a related field
  • Strong Analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from market trends and competitive analysis
  • Consultative and excellent communicator both written and verbal in English (Fluent in other written and spoken languages would be a plus)
  • Proficient in managing customer interface and relationship both at the scientific enduser level (customer) and decisionmaking level (distributor)
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Must be highly organized, motivated, a selfstarter, and selfdirected
  • Must convey a positive, "cando" attitude
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, delivering projects on time
  • Ability to travel, both national and international travel may be required
  • Various progression opportunities within the immediate commercial team
