Senior Accountant - Healthcare/Medical

Manchester - Hybrid remote

Up to £50,000

Butler Rose are recruiting for an Accounts Senior or Manager to join a fantastic accountancy practice with a national reach, specialising in the healthcare sector.

You will work in a specialist, and experienced team, supporting the directors and partnerswith the growth and development of the health care division within this market leading accountancy practice.

You will work with a wide array of clients in the medical sector, particularly GP Practices.

As a Senior Accountant/ Manager, you will be responsible for:

Preparing (and reviewing) draft accounts for medical practices and associated companies.
Preparing (and reviewing) business and personal tax computations and returns as required.
Managing workload and client expectations, emphasis on managing the clients
Working within budgets set at the planning stage.
Overseeing junior staff in the preparation of accounts and tax returns, providing training where required and assisting with their development.
Ensuring the efficient use of appropriate software packages internally and supporting clients with the management of their accounting systems.

Requirements:

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent with a career background and strength within accounts and tax, and all around general accountancy practice service delivery to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients, developed withinan accountancy practice environment.
Previous experience in the medical sector would be advantageous but isn't essential. If not, then strong experience of cloud software would be of interest, such as Xero, Sage and Quickbooks would be advantageous.
