Assistant Cook - St David's Hospice Care

£19,760(Pro Rata)

Newport Norse represents the highly successful joint venture between Norse Group and Newport City Council, providing contract services across property and facilities management.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Cook for
St David's Hospice Care in Newport.

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the kitchen during a shift, ensuring the needs of the kitchen and patients are met.

Ensuring completion of the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of food and beverages to in-patients

This position is being offered on a part time, permanent contract working 25hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We will provide full training if you have not worked within the industry before, but ideally we are looking for:

Previous experience working in a catering role
Knowledge of health & safety regulations that are relevant to the post, including using relevant machinery and products
Ability to work autonomously, managing your own workload
Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with members of the public and the client
