UPP currently has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Officer to join our team.


The Facilities Officer will provide comprehensive support to the residence's management team, and assist with the provision of a suitably equipped and customer centred, secure environment for residents to live and to study in accordance with the license agreement.


Salary Circa:
£26,565.75 Per Annum

Hours:
This is a permanent, full
- time position working 41 hours per week from between the hours of 5pm and 8am Monday to Friday and between 8am and 8pm, and 8pm and 8am at weekends.

Location:
Nottingham City and surrounding local area


The role:
Security and Health and Safety- Carry out regular patrols of the residence and grounds, reporting any security/safety issues- Monitor and control health, safety and maintenance standards within residence and grounds, reporting H&S issues and concerns to the residence management- Control, monitor and supervise out of hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and any relevant residence instructions are provided- Respond effectively to fire alarm activations and when required, liaise with the emergency services

Reception duties- Monitor the signing in and out of all guests, visitors and contractors- Complete help desk forms for reactive maintenance and pass to the relevant persons- Deal with queries and complaints in an efficient, professional and courteous manner

Report writing- Complete all necessary reports including incident reports, noise reports, accident reports and others as required- Monitor the conduct of students, encouraging reasonable and fair behaviour, reporting any breach of the Code of Conduct and license agreement to the duty warden/tutor and residence manager as appropriate- Provide evidence and reports when requested

Customer and Colleague Liaison- Liaise, as necessary, with other Facilities officers, university clients, sub-contractors, UPPRSL staff and residents and conference delegates- Liaise, if required, confidentially with student support services, chaplaincy and other agencies, in relation to student welfare and follow the company's policy for pastoral welfare
