Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 3 Lab Assistant to fill a full-time role in Rotherham.

The pay rate for this locum Lab Assistant job is £13 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Main Duties:

Separate samples by type
Check patient demographics and number/rack samples consecutively.
Swab plates accurately and with precision.
Process waste appropriately
Make up packs of swabs/forms for wards.
Answer the phone for general enquiries once sufficiently competent.
Assist laboratory staff as appropriate.

Requirements of the Lab Assistant:

HCPC registered
Laboratory experience would be of benefit but is not essential, transferrable skills will be taken into account
